Accessibility

We want the pages to be readable with a keyboard, without JavaScript, and without depending on a single color. We do not publish a certificate of conformance and we do not say that every barrier is already removed.

What is done in the pages

LanguageThe page declares English. We do not have a complete version in another language.
SkipThe first keyboard element is “Skip to content”.
HeadingsEach page has a single level-one heading. Sections use levels two and three.
ImagesPhotographs have alternative text that describes what is visible. The logo beside the name is decorative, because the name is written in the text.
FocusLinks and buttons have an outline when they are reached from the keyboard.
MotionIf the system asks for reduced motion, entrance animations and transitions are turned off.
No scriptThe texts, the menu, and the links are in HTML. The menu on a narrow screen opens from a checkbox, without JavaScript.
ColorThe color accent is not the only difference: the pages also use text, underlines, and borders.

Known limits

We do not have an audio version of every note and we do not have sign-language interpretation.
The cookie buttons need JavaScript in order to remember the choice. Without a script, the banner may stay at the bottom, and the pages can still be read.
We have not been through an external audit and we do not display a conformance badge.
